Trisha’s Diet Blog Day 1 – Getting Started…
12:58 pm in Uncategorized by grindhouse
I've always heard the hardest part of any diet is getting started!
So I figured - why not make this public and get the kick in the butt that I need?
Please understand that this is very personal and even though comments about my weight may not offend me or change the way I view myself as a person...I, like anyone else, do get sensitive. A little sting if you will.
So unlike my other videos, if you have nothing nice to say - don't say it, please! Thank you.
But seriously -
any and all suggestions on what you do to stay in shape, lose weight, maintain, be healthy, I really want to know.
So Day 1 begins...
And I have never been more excited about anything in my life!
Hugs and Kisses,
Trish
hey girl, I am on a 1700 Calorie diet, working out 5 days a week. We can do it!! Ive lost 8 lbs so far and i am so excited!! I am excited to see your weight loss story! But dont get discouraged, and just keep keepin on
Your beautiful and you have a great figure, dont fall into that hollywood disgustingly skinny clique,
x0x0
Chizzle
hey doll,
well twice in my life i have lost over 70 lbs. biggest thing for me was, lots of water, no booze, no fried foods, lots of little meals, lots of fiber, little red meat. Get the metobolism boosted, eat early in the mornin, and stop 6 hours before bed!!
you will do great!!!
Hey there hun! Congrats on ‘taking the plunge’!!
Eventhough you are doing the video blog:
*I still think it’s a GREAT idea to keep the food journal…that’s what really helps me out. You’re SO right about the feeling guilty eating something bad…then, having to write it down.
*Definately keeping hydrated is a must!! I love starting early in the morning and drinking a lot ’till I have to workout…I find that it gives me more energy to last longer.
*A minimum of 30mins is what you need of cardio…what happens to me is when I hit the 30min mark I feel SO good that I go for 45-60min! (it’s also great to write down your days you work out/doing what/how long)
*Stay away from sweets, fried foods, and other things that can pack on the calories. Think about it this way, it takes 30 minutes of cardio to get rid of just 1 reeses pieces peanut butter cup!
*Adding weights to your cardio experience is good too: inner/outter thigh, abs, arms, back…etc
GOOD LUCK HUN!! In the words of Tony Little, “Yooooou can do eeeeeettt”
xoxo
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
8 lbs is a lot…ohmygoodness! YOU actually are inspiring ME which is why I am soooo glad to have put this out there!!!
Oh – and don’t you worry, NEVER will I be into that “disgustingly skinny” category – I looove curves…just want to be a little more toned and healty of course!!!
daveeeeeey!!! awe that means so much to me and 70 lbs is nuts!!! ohmyga. but that is my goal too!!!!
booze will be no problem, water is no problem…but the fried foods!!! oh I am going to miss those – well at least until I get to my first little goal – then I’ll have to have a cheat day, even though I know people say not to do that!!!
all this great advice…its just soooo overwhelming that people care and are so sweet – but you have always been there.
Miss Carly!!!!
You, my dear, are probably one of my biggest inspirations, no lie. You are always so positive and I love that!!!
And, you always give great advice. That is why you are one of my bestiies! Love the idea of still keeping a journal – I like that alot – maybe I’ll publish it on my blog…that is if I see it working! You of all people know my struggle, so now I am just ready to just make a change in my life and not “just another diet”…love you chica!
oh – and I got my Tony Little…I think I gots to do a video on that little diddy – can you imagine??? lol.
Hey Cuz,
I’m proud of you for doing this. I’d never have the guts to go public about it.
I moved into an apartment recently have have started buying my own foods. What I have been doing is I like to buy a lot of organic foods, because usually you can read the ingredient list and know everything that’s in it. I don’t buy white breads or noodles anymore. I look for breads and pastas that have 100% whole wheat or whole grains. They have a ton of fiber and fill you up more and for longer. I love to stock up my fridge with fruits and vegetables to snack on during the day, especially if im uber busy.
This has been working for me. I haven’t weighed myself at all, but I feel tremendously better and my clothes are fitting better too.
Good luck with the diet!
Honestly, I think you’re great the way you are
Honestly, I think you’re great the way you are.
But if you want to diet, that’s your decision. Your decision will always be the best decision
h
I agree! You’re great how you are!
Ms. Amanda – hey girl, how you doing???
Well it sounds great and honestly, that is great advice!!!!
You know – I have always been super sensitive and never thought in a million years that I could or would announce my weight to the world – but for me, it was the ONLY way to move forward and start losing. It was like the acceptance stage – lol.
Alot of people have been telling me to go by how clothes fit, and I think that probably is smart. But for blog purposes – I think I might have to brave that scale, if not everyday, but once a week.
Girl – I had no idea you read my blog – yay!!!!
Good luck to you too!!!!!! Healthy is what its all about.
Wow. Mr. Trump – lol.
Thank you soooooo much – you know I do love hearing that…”you’re great the way you are” – because well that is how I am. Haha…and I’ve always been like that too
But really what it comes down to – I love my curves, got to keep those. But…just feeling sluggish, you know??? I need energy and I guess, just an overall change. Don’t worry though, I’m not going to get sickly – ha – just the opposite, my body was not framed that way – and I couldn’t be happier
Awe. Don’t make me blush.
Thank you!!! I’ve always been comfortable with how I look and I never thought anything was wrong with me…still don’t! Yeah Hollywood may consider me “plus size” but who cares what Hollywood thinks, right? I don’t! ha.
Just ready to start feeling a little better and maybe start buying dresses in the single digits! ha. okay – a little superficial! ha.
But thank you thank thank you, magnes v! haha…that seriously just makes me giddy.
I don’t know if anyone else said it already but one thing that could help is taking a dance class. Hip Hop and Jazz are both great cardio. I’m actually right there with you and will be starting a Hip Hop class tonight (I hope, have been sick and slugglish lately too – and my sinuses haven’t helped).
I hope you can do it!
YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!
I looooooooooooove dancing – its funny because this past may is when I sort of stopped all that. In May, I was taking 5 different dance classes – almsot 5 days a week…so definitely definitely going to get back in to those – my first one is actually starting next week and of course I dance every morning to the radio now, ha.
But yeah – its sooo funnnn, I mean its like you’re not even exercising!!!
Good luck to you too Angelique!!!! But really, luck has nothing to do with it – I should say, good life!!!
Smileys make me happy
HEy trish
i just thought id let you know forgot what the shots is called but my mom gets this shot at the health dep. like 1 a month or 1 every 3 months and it speeds up your metabelisum my mom use to be alot bigger she now down to 130 she just gets the shot and eats healthy it does wonders
Amanda!!! what kind of shot is it? like whats in it? If you could find out the name, I’d love you forever! haha.
But seriously – if its mostly natural that’d be sooo great. Sometimes those metabolism boosters make me jittery – but not all of them…that is something I need to look more into…
Keep me posted, chica.
The shots she is talking about is probably vitamin B shots. I have heard from from different doctors that they help and that they don’t do anything. I think getting natural vitamin B should do the same thing
Good luck! I knwo that feeling of sluggishnish and just wanting the energy to bound about everywhere!
heyy total of 14lbs lost in a month!!!! i am soo happy…i have been watching your blogs =) its cool its like we are doing the same things!!! if only we could work out together…no one wants to work out, LAZY asses!!!
